Golf Tournament Registration

The RMC golf tournament will be played on Tuesday afternoon at the nearby Raptor Bay Golf Club. To ensure that all RMC delegates and spouses have the opportunity to play in the golf tournament, we must require a $75 per player golf tournament registration fee. This fee is noted on the Conference registration form.

To secure a place in the golf tournament, we recommend early registration.

Raptor Bay Golf Club

Course Details
Amidst the lush green nature preserve surrounding Estero Bay sits a pristine golf course designed to blend in harmony with its natural environment. Raptor Bay Golf Club at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa - a return to nature.

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in a partnership with WCI Communities, Inc., sought the expertise of golf legend Raymond Floyd to design 18 golf holes and make history as the first resort course in the World to receive Audubon International's Gold Signature Sanctuary Certification. Working closely with Audubon International, Raptor Bay has made a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices, creating a model for future golf course development.

Each golf hole was carefully crafted to blend with the environment, leaving a beautiful course with natural surroundings. Blending a properly designed golf course with preserved and restored habitat is not only good for the game of golf, but promotes biological diversity. Raptor Bay, under the guidance of Audubon International, developed an ecological design that preserved the most valuable habitats on site and restored nearly 25 acres of wetlands.

Unique to Raptor Bay is the use of native sand and palmetto areas, which are incorporated into the design of waste areas. The course is devoid of any sand bunkers; instead, golfers will selectively encounter these sandy native areas adjacent to greens and fairways. Surrounding the course are 22 acres of lakes and more than 200 acres of native vegetation and nature preserve areas, giving some lucky guests a chance to glimpse a bald eagle or gopher tortoise.

The 18-hole course was designed by one of golf's greatest, Raymond Floyd, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame whose winnings exceed $18 million. With 64 career victories including four major championships and four Senior major championships, Floyd is the only PGA Tour player yet to win both a PGA and Senior PGA Tour event in the same year (1992).

Strategically placed golf cart bridges allow players to tread lightly on the land while enjoying the course's native features. Walking trails are a prominent feature throughout the resort.

Raptor Bay's old Florida-style clubhouse offers an Ernest Hemingway feel, combining rich textures, bright colors and West Indies-style furniture. Braxton's, the clubhouse grille, offers terrace seating, which wraps around the restaurant and lounge while overlooking the 18th green and practice area. The full service golf shop of more than 1,500 square feet overlooks Raptor Bay's first tee. Attended men's and women's locker rooms offer golfers the highest level of service in the area.

Designed in the spirit of golf and respect for the land, Raptor Bay captures the essence of nature at its best. With no residential sites on property, surround yourself in the beauty of nature and the tournament quality course conditions that give every player an enjoyable golfing experience. Come see why Raptor Bay Golf Club ranked among the top 10 favorites by Gary Van Sickle, senior writer for Sports Illustrated.
